Q. Where are the products manufactured?

A: Our laboratory and packaging facility are located right here in the U.S.A. But the inspirations for our formulas are created in our own kitchens using old fashioned recipes (just like Grandma Jo used to do!) that feature natural, organic ingredients.

Q. How does being “Natural” and “Organic” impact the products?

A: You are what you eat” – and the same holds true for your skin. We use only Natural and Organic sources for our ingredients so that there are no potentially harmful chemicals or antibiotics present in the nutritive cleansers, creams, oils and serums you use on your skin. Consider this, your skin is your body’s largest organ, so its potential to absorb nutrients (as well as harmful chemicals) is enormous. We believe you should only feed your skin the healthiest treatments possible.

Q: What else have you eliminated from your formulas?

A: Since we began, we have always avoided potential irritants, including waxes, silicones, and traditional oils-ingredients that clog pores and sit on the surface of the skin where they never fully penetrate and often attract dirt. We also don't use harsh detergents, colorants, dyes and synthetic perfumes, or even sunscreens in creams as these substances can cause irritation.

Q: In what order do I use your products?

A: The proces is simple. CLEANSER, TONER, SERUM, CREAM, EYES. If you are using the AHA SCRUB and AHA CREAM, the order is CLEANSER, AHA SCRUB, TONER, SERUM, AHA CREAM, EYES. If you need less moisturizer, you can use either the SERUM or the CREAM.

Q: What is the shelf life of your products?

A: A minimum of six months to a year when stored at room temperature and tightly sealed in between applications. Our paraben-free preservative system wards off any fungus or bacteria naturally, so you don't have to keep your Clairvoyant Beauty products in the refrigerator to maintain shelf life.

Q. How are your products different from some of the more commercial brands?

A: Our treatment formulas tend to excel beyond commercial brand products that use inexpensive fillers that only condition the outer layers of your skin. Even if they claim other natural ingredients, commercial brands can be too heavy because they use less costly mineral oils. These oils cannot penetrate the top layer of skin because their molecular weight is denser than that of skin, so they end up only treating the top most layers. The natural and organic Oils (such as Jojoba, Avocado and Grapeseed) in our formulas are light enough to be completely absorbed so they penetrate deeply to draw the beneficial Essential Oils to newly forming cell layers, nourishing your skin from the inside out.

After two years of careful Research we selected the finest Essential Oils and the purest organic ingredients from around the world for our formulas. There are no chemical substitutes - even our stabilizers and preservatives are derived from natural elements and organically grown plants that actively benefit your skin while they preserve and maintain the freshness of our formulas.

Q: Do you use parabens or chemical preservatives?

A: No! Our products are free of parabens. We strive to use naturally-derived preservatives that maximize a product's shelf life and protect it from any potentially harmful bacteria and fungus that can easily be introduced by a dirty finger.

Q: Are all products 100% recyclable?

A: Of course. Our products are biodegradable and all of our packaging is recyclable: Our boxes are made from FSC Certified (Forest Stewardship Council) paper, and the bottles and jars can go to recycling center.

Q. What are Essential Oils and Extracts, and what do they do for our skin?

A: Essential Oils are highly concentrated and potent oils extracted from the leaves, flower petals, roots, buds, bark, seeds and fruits of plants & trees, each having their own beneficial elements. The energy of the sun, air, soil & water affect the plants that create the oils. The environment directly impacts these different properties and so we used this fact in our criteria of finding the finest and the very best ingredients for our Skin Care formulas.

Our extracts are obtained by extracting the essential oils from organically grown blossoms, fruit, roots, and whole plants and concentrating them in an alcohol, water or oil solution.

Q. What is DMAE and why is it beneficial to our skin?

A: One of the more recent scientific discoveries in Skin Care, DMAE is a powerful nutrient that extends the life of cells and creates a barrier to the damaging cross-linking of proteins that destroys collagen. DMAE is found naturally in fish. It immediately increases blood flow and circulation and stimulates the release of our skin’s natural acetylcholine levels that causes a gentle muscular contraction for a more firm and toned appearance. People report a cumulative effect with continued use of DMAE.

Q. What is MSM and why is it beneficial to our skin?

A: MSM is a naturally occurring nutrient found in plants. It feeds the formation of elastin and collagen with a natural sulphur compound contributing to healthier skin, hair and nails. MSM is reported to reduce wrinkles, brown spots and spider veins.

Q: What should I know about AHA/Glycoloic Acid used in the scrub and cream?

We use a gentle but extremely effective percentage of AHA and Glycolic acid in our formulations for the deepest of exfoliations to reveal fresh skin cells and encourage more rapid regeneration. To avoid using chemically manufactured AHAs that can irritate the skin, we use a combination of natural fruit acids that are equally effective in the stimulation of cell renewal. Our combinations include: Apples, Grapes, Lemons, Oranges, Sugar Cane, Maple, Bilberry, and Cranberry. Because they are not harsh chemicals, you can use them more often! Exfoliation is key to obtaining a beautiful complexion. Removing dead surface cells encourages the body to produce new cells to replace those you removed - our gentle Jojoba wax beads in our Scrub will not scratch the skin or shred the pores - it keeps the surface super polished and glowing without risk of irritation. Skin may be more susceptible to the effects of UV exposure immediately following the use of these products, so we recommend you use a sunscreen and avoid overexposure. To conveniently ensure this, you may want to use these products in the evening before bedtime. Q. Why is it important to use a Toner after Cleansing?

A: A necessary step to remove all traces of remaining dirt & cleanser, a Toner also rebalances your skin with gentle acidics that replace the skin’s natural protective barrier that is disrupted during the cleansing process. All of our Toners are formulated to rebalance your skin’s natural pH, which is essential for healthy skin. All our Toners are effective for all Skin Types.

Q. Why do I need a Serum?

A: Serums are your “daily dose of vitamins.” They’re designed to penetrate deep down into the layers of the skin to nourish newly forming cells. Moisturizing Creams are formulated to protect and condition the uppermost layers and seal in the benefits of the Serums.
